Today we're launching Freesong, an AI song generator that turns a simple description into a complete track — real vocals, full arrangement, verse to chorus to bridge — in about the time it takes to read this paragraph. No instruments. No music theory. No experience required. If you can describe it, you can make it.
Why we built this
Music creation has always had a tall front door. Learning an instrument takes years. Recording a song takes gear, software, and a vocabulary of knobs and faders most people never get the chance to learn. The result: countless songs that stay stuck in someone's head because the path from idea to audio was simply too long.
We come from music production ourselves, and we've watched AI change what's possible in this field at a remarkable pace. What excites us isn't AI replacing musicians — it's AI removing the distance between having a feeling and hearing it as a song. A birthday surprise for your best friend. A love note that rhymes. An anthem for your group chat. These songs deserve to exist, and now they can.
What you can do on day one
Generate complete songs from a sentence. Type a description — a mood, a story, a genre — and get back a finished track with vocals and arrangement. Not a loop, not background music: a song.
Go deeper when you want to. Custom mode lets you bring your own lyrics, set the genre and mood, choose the vocal style, and shape your song section by section. Quick mode for playing around; full control for the days you're serious.
Sing any song in your own voice. Upload a few minutes of your voice and train a personal voice model. Then cover any track — your performance, your timbre, any language. This one still feels like magic to us.
Take songs apart. Split any track into stems — vocals, drums, bass, instruments, and on advanced mode up to 12 separate layers — exported as clean, time-aligned WAV files ready for Ableton, Logic, or any DAW. Or simply remove the vocals for an instant karaoke version.
Write lyrics with the best AI minds. Our lyrics generator draws on multiple leading AI models plus our own lyrics-trained model — built to understand rhyme, structure, and singability, not just words.
